No Middle Management
In an effort to keep great communication between our customers and their production requests, we here at SMT-ASSY do not believe in a vertical pyramidal management structure, where details fall through the cracks. We believe in a horizontal management structure, where the whole team is responsible for the work that is being done. No middle management means no delays, no miss-communication, a direct line for our customers to their production requests, less whistles and bells, more efficiency, more productivity, and less indirect costs in the long run.
Knowledge & Expertise
Our technical director has past experience in space projects and has certifications from GSC and JPL. Most importantly, he will work incessantly on your production request to establish the ins and outs of the product and in order to reduce risks and establish baselines as to how the work must be done to have the best success possible for both the customer and us. On top of this, you get the very best management and production team and products which are streamlined through assembly, which means they are verified not only by machinery, but by experienced individuals who have been with us for many years.
Like in life, things don’t get done by themselves and where there’s a will there’s a way; partners for us are not only suppliers, but also our customers and our employees. Since 1997, SMT-ASSY has done well thanks to many little angels along the way. Some of our suppliers have been instrumental in our success and some of the relationships that we have built with our customers have been equally important. As I always say “many can buy equipment and start a manufacturing shop to compete us but they do not have our employees”; it’s the employees that make the difference in every way.
SMT-ASSY believes in the good of people before the bad, and believes that everybody and anybody deserves to work and get remunerated for it; however, most importantly, SMT-ASSY believes that one must be proud of his or her accomplishments. In manufacturing, there is a pride related to accomplishments, such as when products are shipped on time, which can be instantaneous and infectious. Those are the people that we employ; the ones that care for the products of our customers and, in return, we care for them.
What We Believe In
We believe in people and believe in people of different cultures. At one point in our history, we had 22 different countries represented in our company and we are very proud of this.
Our company is flexible because we are not a huge corporation with layers and layers of management. As a part owner, I’ve never had the need to micro-manage our employees as we have very good people involved in every stage of our process. We believe in hands on training and cross training, therefore many of our employees can work at many different spots in our process.
We believe in giving back, but more specifically, in projects that foster discipline, structure and determination in our youth, our future community leaders.
